Nihao! Hello. My name is
Ling Ling. I'm from
Shanghai China.
I have been
living in Osaka for three or four years. My husband is a
professor at
Kinki university. His name is Sven. He and I have been married since
2001. I
work part time as a Chinese language teacher, and also as an office
worker, working with Chinese people in Japan.
I like traveling, cooking, enjoying different kinds of food,
and making friends.
I am an only daughter to my parents because of the
one-child
policy in China. They live in Shanghai so sometimes I go to visit
them,
but one day I would like to show them around Japan.
My husband and I met in Shanghai, and we had a big
Chinese
wedding ceremony there. It was wonderful and 100 people came
including
friends, relatives and coworkers. Even some of my husband's friends
came over from Osaka to join in the wedding!
They were able to come very easily because there is
a ferry that
goes from Osaka or Kobe directly to Shanghai, or Tianjin. It is very
cheap and fun to ride. It takes about 2 days to get there. The ship is
so big that there is a Karaoke bar and a disco on board!
If you ever have a chance I hope you will take
the ferry to
China and visit there. Traveling in a foreign country is one of
the funnest things to do in life, and you can use your English to
make many friends in China. Especially in Shanghai, there are many
young
people who speak English very well!
