Here is the model answer for today's
essay question. Can you see the
One Stone for
Many Birds
This year at our school festival each class put on a play. The
plays were done in the gymnasium
as a result
of the fact that our school does not have an auditorium. Many of the
students' parents came there to see the play,
however it
was so hot that many of them
consequently
had to leave before they could see all the plays. If I could
change one thing about this school, I would have a large multi-purpose
auditorium built.
There are other things this school could use.
In addition
to an auditorium, this school needs a larger library. The few books
that are there have been wisely selected,
however, the
space is too small and can only hold about 30 students at a time.
In addition,
there is not enough space for a music room where a large band can
practice freely. For concerts as well, we often need to borrow nearby
community centers in order to fit all of the guests.
Similarly,
the cafeteria is very small so most students eat packed lunches in
their classrooms.
Besides this,
the classrooms themselves are sometimes very cold in the winter and a
draft sometimes comes in though the cracks in the old doorways.
The students seem to manage in spite of these small problems but
an auditorium could solve many problems at once. If there were an
auditorium, the band could practice there.
In addition,
it could be used for the class plays at the school festival.
Similarly,
concerts could be held there. And
finally, it
could even be used as a lunchtime space where students could socialize.
The most important change this school needs is a new auditorium.
